Obama's Pick Shows Muslim Smears Wrong

Rham Emmanuel is Obama's pick for Chief of Staff.
**************

In the days leading up to the election, accusations abounded that Barack Obama was a Muslim. Readers might notice that I had no role in spreading such rumours. There was never any real evidence for them and I wrote it off as election season scare-mongering of an even lower type than normal.

With the pick of former Illinois Congressman Rham Emmanuel as his Chief of Staff, Obama should put those accusations behind him. Emmanual is Jewish, has dual citizenship with the U.S. and Israel, and fought with the IDF during the first gulf war!

I don't know what Obama's religion is, maybe he does not have a strong commitment to any religion. Faith is important, but also hard to know. I will judge him on his policies that I can see rather than his faith which I can't.

Now the allegations that he was born in Kenya, or gave up his U.S. citizenship when he became an Indonesian as a small child are credible. I wish he would end the controversy by simply producing the birth certificate and other reasonable documents. For some reason, he won't.

Barack Obama may not be a natural born citizen of the United States, but he's no Muslim.

How do you write this:
"I don't know what Obama's religion is, maybe he does not have a strong commitment to any religion. Faith is important, but also hard to know. I will judge him on his policies that I can see rather than his faith which I can't."

Then this:
"Barack Obama may not be a natural born citizen of the United States, but he's no Muslim."

Merely eliminating one possible religious affiliation doesn't imply that you do know his actual affiliation. Many possibilities remain: Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Shintoism, Kabbalah, several flavors of Christianity, and even unspecified New Age "spirituality".

Hello?! How has the possibility that he's a muzzy been eliminated? Take some logic classes, people.

Do you believe that muslim executives never hire non-muslims? Or that they never work with Jews when it suits their purpose? Better read some koran!

I don't know that BHO's a muslim- I doubt it- but his choice of Emmanuel for Chief of Staff proves next to absolutely nothing either way.

Sure. There are lots of Muslim Heads of State who hire Jewish Israeli Defense Forces personnel as their chief of staff.

How many western governments are moronic enough to elect a Muslim head of state?

None, so we don't really know the modus operandi of a Muslim/sympathizer placed in such a powerful position. Don't be naive.

None, other than America. Let's be honest, it wouldn't matter if he was a low-key Muslim, he would've beaten McCain/Palin.

First, Emanuel is the correct spelling; one "m", not two.

Next, I'm not yet convinced BHO is not a Muslim; selecting a Jewish CoS is not enough. Plus, I'm not yet convinced he's not a natural born citizen. Until an "official" BC is produced, I will keep wondering, and even then, I might still wonder if it was doctored. Perhaps ACORN could help Senator Obama look for his birth certificate.

He may have been natural born, but even so, he relinquished that status when his mom took him to Indonesia and made him a citizen there. According to the best of efforts by Philip Berg, we can't establish that he ever re-applied for citizenship when he returned to the U.S., and Barry won't lift a finger to dispel the rumors.

So, it seems, his aunt isn't the only one of the Obama clan living illegally in the U.S., but then, what do laws matter in Lincoln's Amerika?

I appreciate people who come to this blog and leave comments. I really do, whether they are from the left, right, or whatever. As long as they are attempting an honest dialog and not just blog vandalism I am honored that they spend time here.

That being said, I am really at a loss at how anyone can seriously maintain that Obama is really a Muslim. It has been a heated campaign and maybe some of us are so emotionally invested in the position that it is going to take a while to unwind from it.

Now I can well believe that he is a man of no particular religion, that is that he could say, "I AM a Muslim, and I AM a Christian, and I AM a Hindu". That would be an Anti-Christ level new-age one-world-religion kind of position. It is far more likely that this represents his view rather than the theory that he has one sincere faith and it is Islam.

He spent, what, 20 years in a nominally Christian church, then threw the preacher under the bus when they guy's rhetoric became an obstacle to him? There is no evidence he does the prayer five times a day, no evidence he does the annual monthly fast. He's never been to Mecca. He does not cite the Koran or say "peace be upon Him" when saying the "prophet" Mohammed's name, nor the honorific Muslims use when they mention the name of Jesus (I forget what it is). He's just not a practicing Muslim.

I urge you to re-direct to the true threat- a one-world religion where the exclusive truth claims of any one religion (like Jesus is the one Way to the Father and the Scripture is God-breathed) are looked on as "divisive" by government.

Mark my words friends, there will not be a push for Islam from Obama, but a push for "unity" at the expense of "Truth". None who serve He who is The Way, The Truth, and The Life can walk down this road of compromise, but the pressure will be intense.
