American Family Association Calls for Two Day Boycott of Wal-Mart!

***UPDATE-- AFA SAYS WAL-MART HAS AGREED TO THEIR DEMANDS-- BOYCOTT CALLED OFF!***

We have asked our supporters not to shop at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club this coming Friday or Saturday. Thus far nearly 400,000 families have agreed not to shop at Wal-Mart on those days. We suggest you shop with your local merchants.

Here is why we are asking you not to shop at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club this Friday or Saturday:

* Wal-Mart gave $60,000 to homosexual group to support homosexual agenda in the workplace

* Wal-Mart made a generous donation to the Northwest Arkansas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center

* Wal-Mart sells pro-homosexual items from their website

* Wal-Mart asks for, and receives, permission to join Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce

* Wal-Mart invites homosexual ad agency to headquarters for 2-day seminar to indoctrinate employees.

* Last March, Wal-Mart chose to promote "Brokeback Mountain" video over a top-selling family-oriented film. Wal-Mart began taking advance orders of the homosexual love movie, "Brokeback Mountain." A large display greeted customers when they walked through the front doors of the store. "Brokeback Mountain" was released the same day as best selling pro-family movie, "The Chronicles of Narnia" which Wal-Mart did not promote.

Many people will just buy on Thursday and Monday those things they would've bought on Friday and Saturday.

I'm not trying to be a wet blanket-- I'm glad they're calling attention to Wal-Mart's depravity. But it needs to be a lifestyle change and not just a two day boycott. If Wal-Mart wants to pander to the queers, let the queers become Lee Scott's core supporters.

Who needs their Chinese junk anyway?

Sam Walton is turning over in his grave as we speak.

Another example of this site promoting hatred just because people are different from them.

Moore, you're a disgusting vial human being. "We are all God's children."

You hypocrite... who will rot in hell!

Our God does not codone your behavior!

And look at the above poster. This is your supporter. Be proud. Another bigot who supports discrimination and hatred.

We are all God's children. For shame on you. For shame.

Gee, that's how "god's" children speak? Well, you got one thing right: your "god" doesn't condone my behavior.

Hateful liberal.

We are all God's children.

Except those who oppose homosexuality, right? So, you can practice all sorts of disgusting, perverted, anti-Biblical behavior, and that's okay by your "theology," but if someone actually uses the Bible to condemn such behavior, then we're supposed to believe that THEY will "rot in hell."

Some religion you have there.

No matter what happens in this world, Sam Walton is not turning over in his grave.
His rotten, putrid body is probably now being eaten by worms.
And while most of you right-wing nuts are on this blog pooh-poohing about a Wal-Mart, your wives will get up at 4 a.m. on Black Friday to stand in line at Wally's World to buy your suburban families shiny trinkets and gadgets made by people that you hate.

I thought you folks were capitalists. Don't you think Wal-Mart is doing all this stuff to . . . make money? Do you think they would promote Brokeback Mountain if it wasn't going to make a bunch of money for them?

Also, what exactly are these "pro-homosexual" items they sell on their website?!

Wow. You're so smart. I never really thought of it that way. You've convinced me now.

Dimwit.

Hey "Dimwit" you spewed forth some sarcasm and name-calling but never answered the argument. Why would WM do all this pro-gay stuff if it wasn't going to make them money? Here's the dim-witted answer: they wouldn't. You've gone so far right you're fighting against the free market. Friedrich Hayek had a point -- political and economic freedom are related. Gay people may earn civil rights not because of protests in the streets or political action, but because they have plenty of money to spend.

Yeah. Freemarket.

Disney: Took an economic hit after promoting the homosexual agenda.

Ford Motor Co.: Took an economic dive after promoting the homosexual agenda.

Wal-Mart: Has been taking an economic hit since they began promoting the homosexual agenda.

Get a clue.

You got schooled over on the Pre-K thread, now you're trying to spread your homosexual lies here, but we already know your routine.

Oh ye of small minds, we have been over this before! The AFA boycotts don't do any economic harm to these companies and never will. Just because two things coincide does not mean they are related. Ford is sinking because they don't make products that people want to buy, it's that simple. I think Wal Mart will be fine even if every AFA member in the world quits shopping there permanently. This, however, is impossible since Wal Mart has already run every other business out of town in the rural areas of the country. I didn't mention Disney because, truthfully, I don't care what happens to them.

If you think the economic problems of Ford, Disney and Wal-Mart have anything to do with gay people, then you are ... paranoid, wrong, and obsessed.

Yes, that is the dim-witted answer.

And Rob, Wal-Mart may be "fine" with every AFA supporter boycotting them (so far, first quarterly loss in over 10 years w/o an official boycott), but their recent decisions will do anything BUT improve their bottom line. It merely proves that such decisions are cultural and not economic in nature.

Wal-Mart's recent glut of advertising on Christian radio is damage control. You don't do damage control when there's no damage or threat of damage.

You need to do a post on the fact that AFA has ended the boycott becuase Wal-Mart has given in.

Rob, it's blatantly obvious that you have no clue as to the economic problems of Ford because of the AFA boycott. Ford has suffered tremendously economically because of their support of the homosexual lobby. Get a clue and know the facts before you come here and puport to have any intelligence.
