Thread II : Live Election Thread

The Secretary of State Website is just now reporting it's first totals.

KATV live election results
and

KARK live election results are far ahead of the SOS in reporting. They also report slightly different totals even when reporting the same percent- they may have people in different counties.

So far, many key counties have not reported in.

We have not heard from Benton, Washington, White, or Baxter counties, and only a fraction of Pulaski. There is no way you can close the book on a GOP primary until we hear from them.

We need to wake people up on the importance of judicial races- as well as change the rules so that judges are allowed to talk about issues.

The other problem, and this may be the most important factor of them all, is that the Democratic Primary is so much larger than the Republican primary that Democratic voters basically get to pick the judges. That will tend to give us activist judges far out of proportion to what the population wants.

One of the questions we started the night with was how the Holt-Duggar-Woods and Holt-Adams associations would work for them.

With 47% in Woods is on top of McFetridge 60%-40%. Her Demozette endorsement is not helping much.

Baxter is late reporting you say? Baxter is one that Holt has always had a tough time in. It is hard to say why. Banks spent a lot of time there and Matayo has endorsements from two legislators there. More than half of the Republican Primary vote comes from just eight counties, and Baxter is one of those eight. If the other two have any chance to hold Holt under 50%, that would be it, their last gasp.

I am surprised that Shoffner is ahead of Campbell on the Dem. Treasurer side. The race for the second runoff spot in the Dem. Lite Gov primary is nip and tuck- less than 350 votes separate Hathorn from the Hangin Judge Tim Wooldridge.

52% of the 2nd Congressional District Boxes are in, compared to only 52% total. That means central Arkansas is slightly over-represented in the numbers we have seen so far- and the rest is under represented. Holt is holding steady at 58%. Still concerned about the Duggar numbers. If Baxter comes in someone please report.

9:19 PM, May 23, 2006

Benton County Results

With 37 of 83 reporting in, Holt has 50.3% of the vote. Matayo is in 2nd. Matayo stacked a lot of chips in Washington and Benton County. If he and Banks can't hold Holt under 50% here then it is doubtful that they can. Matayo focused on eating away at Holt up here while Holt ran a statewide campaign.

Though it is fairly close, Gary Black is up 2,700 to 2,000 over Bill Adams. Ferguson is beating Andy Lee for Sheriff.

A Matayo supporter here, saying congratulations to Jim Holt. Let us now move forward and get together for November

Hoping now for a Halter-Hathorn runoff so we can see which one can out-left the other one.

BTW, Brantley's Ark Times Blog says Holt has a built in 45% without spending a dime. I think he may be worried.

I am going to sign off for the night. I am grieved for the Duggars and those that love them.

I think many county court houses have shut it down for the night.

I will close with a recap of the state races....

1) Unfortunately Corbin won a judgeship. This will only encourage the courts to continue in their high-handed manner and force a showdown once the other branches find a spine.

2) For LG, Holt wins without a runoff. Turnout was on the high side, as I expected. He is at 56% at this time. I expect him to gain two or three points when the last 30% of the votes are counted.

On the Democrat side, Halter will face a run-off. That looks to be The Hanging Judge Tim Wooldridge, who is only leading Hathorn by about 4,000 votes in the much larger Demo primary.

The AG will also come down to a runoff, we just can't say who will be in it. Herzfeld and Suskie are separated by LESS THAN 200 VOTES! One of them will face off with Dusin McDaniel (39%). They will face Gunner Delay in November.

The race for Treasurer will also come down to a run off on the Democratic side between Shoffner (43%) and Mac Campbell (36%). The winner faces Republican Chris Morris.

Good night, and may God bless us all.

Dear friends!

Is it a deal to convert itunes to MP3? I say NOPE :) Its really annoying not being able to play iTunes tracks with my $300 iriver!
Digging for a solution brings certain results. To convert iTunes to MP3 I used this tool drm removal (drm-removal.com or something like this, please ask me - will find that web again). I don't care what is drm - what I read, its something dealing with protection and nothing about iTunes.
But this tool really works for me and it converted quickly my iTuines entire library, including video files!.

What you your solution? Why iTunes brings this shit? I didn't like ipods at all! They simple stuck and suck!
What is that drm that I loose converting my itunes to mp3?

thanks in advance!

I have a big collection of WMA files - about 20 gigs (they all are from Napster) and I can successfully listen to them at home.
Now I've got a car mp3 player so I decided to burn my music collection to MP3 disks to listen to in a car. And, of course, I cannot do it because files are protected. I've done a quick internet search and found a lot of progs that claim to convert Napster wma to mp3. I've tested some of them, because if I pay for the soft to use MY purchased files - I want to know if it worth the price. I think this is what I need. wma to mp3 (drm-removal.com or whatever, ask me - will find it again) What do you think?
Can you folks advise me another soft?

Just to share an expirience:
I found a solution to download YouTube movies. Some of are sites where you put the url from YouTube and it gives you file with strange extension and small size. Some are really complicated.
My way was to use moviesherlock (moviesherlock.com or sm like this - please ask me - will rememeber). Really simple utility, that just works, and only 1 button in software.
I downloaded it from here: http://download.cnet.com/3001-2140_4-75065920.html?spi=68a87b0bad1ea20e12285c5005469cde.
I downloaded even HD movies!

But it looks too easy, has no player, but just works. It downloaded ~12 concurrent movies for me and actually slows down my system. Its possible to do search in moviesherlock and search results differs from what you see in YouTube. Thats strange.
Who knows - Tube results are same for same keyword? I loves cat (Simons cat / dog).
Why doesn't youtube allows to download its movies without external tools?!! It actually sucks!

Thanks in advance!

Sharing my story, hope it's helpful for someone.
I'm an iTunes user and there are gigabites of m4p files on my PC. Of course I used to listen to them on iPod. But recentluy my iPod was stolen (sh*t!) and I've got a new mp3 player on St Valentine's day! Obviously I couldn't transfer my M4P collection to it because these file had iTunes DRM protection. Fornately I found M4P converter and converted all my iTunes library just in few clicks! So I would recommend this M4P converter if you have any problems with protected files - it will convert them to unprotected MP3 or any other format so you can use them on any player or PC.
The url is mp4-converter.info or something like this. Tell me if you need exact will go thru my mail
