Do You Want This Man For Lt. Governor?? Meet Bill Halter, Sen. Holt's Opponent
(Received this information from WPAAG who said it was not written nor coming from the Holt campaign)
Halter
Is pro abortion.
Was the only Republican or Democratic state candidate who didn't oppose the Arkansas Supreme Court ruling allowing gays to be foster parents. 1
Wants to continue to give state benefits to illegal aliens. 2
Has proposed universal pre kindergarten for three and four year olds/ Cost will be a minimum of $300 to $400 million - equal to a 1% sales tax increase. 3
Supports state authorized gambling and wants to implement a state lottery which would make the state an economic predator of its weakest citizens. 4
Halter received only 2.5% of his contributions from Arkansas on the financial statement he filed June 30, 06. He received 5% ( $9,000), from Arkansas citizens out of the $189,433 he raised during the period of his financial statement from May 24 to June 3, 06 (a typical financial statement) He received $48,000 from contributors in California and received 46 contributions of $2,000 each from citizens in other states, mostly from liberal states and NONE from surrounding southern states. The rest of the money $81,908 came from his own pockets (except for a few small contributions from other states) 5
Served under Bill Clinton' administration as Social Security's Chief Operating Officer 6
Halter lived out of the state most of the past 25 years. 7

Anothe Bill huh? Sounds like another Bill Clinton. The information about the contributions is unbelievable! I knew that Blanche Lincoln had received about 60% of her money from out of state but 95 to 97 percent from outside of Arkansas!
Lofty idea!! I hope you continue to waste your time and effort trying to get a radical like Jim Holt elected to an office that has absolutely no power. Keep up the good fight for the cause of theocracy. I am backing you folks all the way because the more people learn about your politics the more people join the democratic party. You guys are helping us to set the Republican party back to the post Nixon years and I am loving it. Hell, I might even give my fifty dollars to Jim Holt. I like to see a crazy candidate in any race because it helps cut through the boredom. A guy like this is a godsend to liberals and I only wish his brother with the 46 children was still in the mix somewhere. I really cannot tell you how happy it makes me that you guys are sending up a candidate that shows your true biggot colors. Not only will this guy galvanize the Dems but he and G.W. and the rest of the Pat Robertson superfriends are going to destroy the Republican party for many years to come. If you really think this guy has a shot I've got some miracle water and some prayer cloths I'd like to pawn off on you....
Robbie,
Welcome to the blog dude. Do you have any facts or is at all gonna be personal insult?
I will say you have an interesting spin there- liberal Democrats should help Holt win because of what it will do to the GOP! Don't outsmart yourselves.
If anything, having Jim Holt on the ballot will draw out the conservative base like never before (other than in 2004), which will help get ALL of the Republican candidates elected. Democrats are just fooling themselves if they look at it any other way. But this doesn't surprise me.
Yeah, like they came out full force for the primary. Wow, what a huge mass of Republicans!! You're fooling yourself if you really believe that. (Dems beat them 4 to 1 in turnout, by the way).
