Washington County Court Tries County Zoning Again

It looks like the Washington County Court is going to try to push zoning on the rural residents of the county again at a Quorum Court meeting tomorrow night.

4. ADOPTION OF AGENDA. At the beginning of each
meeting, the agenda shall be approved. Any JP may
request an item be added to the agenda subject to
approval of the Quorum Court.

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES. Approval of the minutes of
the June 8 regular meeting of the Quorum Court. (5.1)

6. EQUALIZATION BOARD APPOINTMENT. The Quorum
Court will be consider an appointment to serve as one of
their two representatives on the County’s Equalization

A. Proposed Addition to the Legislative Packet.
Last month, the Quorum Court tabled approval of
a proposed bill for inclusion in the Quorum Court’s
Legislative Packet for 2007. This bill has been
re-written by the County Attorney as discussed
last month. (10.1) MICAH NEAL

11. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN DEFINITIONS
CONTAINED IN APPENDIX D TO WASHINGTON COUNTY
CODE 11-51 ET. SEQ. This ordinance is on second
reading. (11.1, 11.2) BUTCH POND

12. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING WASHINGTON COUNTY
CODE SECTION 11-90 PERTAINING TO CUL-DE-SACS.
This ordinance is on first reading and is being recommended
by the County Services Committee. The County Attorney
has also provided the Quorum Court with an alternative
ordinance. (12.1, 12.2) BUTCH POND

13. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2006-13
REGARDING THE PROTECTION OF RURAL AND
AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY IN WASHINGTON COUNTY,
ARKANSAS. This ordinance is on first reading and is being
recommended by the County Services Committee. (13.1, 13.2) BUTCH POND

14. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING CERTAIN INCENTIVES FOR
THE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL AND AGRICULTURAL
PROPERTY IN WASHINGTON COUNTY. This ordinance
is on third and final reading. (14.1, 14.2) H. L. GOODWIN

15. OTHER BUSINESS.

16. CITIZEN’S COMMENTS. Fifteen minute comment period
with a three-minute limit for each individual to comment on
items on the agenda or other items.
