Bush says Pregnant Lesbian Will "Make a Fine Mom"

That is right. Instead of "this is not a good situation for that child, or a good example for our country", or even "No comment", the man some misguided conservatives still look to for support of the traditional family lavished the praises on Mary Cheney, who along with her "partner" are expecting a baby- it is unknown who actually fathered the child.

"I think Mary is going to be a loving soul to her child. And I'm happy for her," Bush said in an interview with People magazine.

"Mary Cheney is going to make a fine mom and she's going to love this child a lot," he said, according to an excerpt from the interview.

Cheney is of course the daughter of VP Dick Cheney. Until 05, she was employed with the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign. Now she is "pushing the envelope" on homosexuals gaining access to children.

Response from Christian Conservative leaders and readers across the nation was to close their eyes, stick their fingers in their ears, and say "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA" real loud until whoever was pointing these facts out to them went away.

I, along with many conservatives, don't agree with Mary Cheney's lifestyle nor with her and her partner's decision to have a baby, but I also certainly do not think that Bush should have come out and publicly denounce her and her decision. That's just ludicrous to think such! Real conservatives who supported him in 04 and still support him know his position on marriage and know that he is a strong supporter of traditional marriage.

He is? Why do you say that? Because he hit that hot button when he needed votes? As soon as the election was over he forgot about it and did not mention it again until the next election. Compare that to his efforts to give amnesty to illegal aliens, where he is relentless.

I am trying to help you.

President Bush, unlike socialist Democrats, is a man of conviction and and moral courage. He is the most pro-life president we've had since Reagan. And don't talk to me about someone needing votes. Why do you think Democrats all of a sudden start talking about God during election time, especially when their votes and their rhetoric other times don't match their election year rhetoric. So I'm sorry if you don't like Bush or don't think he is a man of conviction. Maybe you should work harder to get one of your pitiful third party candidates elected.

I'm trying, but I run into too many people such as your self who won't give anyone else a chance no matter how badly the GOP abuses them.

I don't see what President Bush has done that is so pro-life. I don't see it as a priority of his administration.

10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage is Wrong

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

That's such a gay way to argue.

Go Ms. Cheney! You make the choices that are best for you without a bunch of old coots interfering. I'm glad you are putting a face on this issue.
