So where is the other $60 million going? Up to this point all I have heard talked about was the trauma center.
But according to the above article, the tax increase would go for “20 other health-related programs.” Beebe said he believes the money will help provide the "basic fundamentals of health care.... throughout the state to low-income people who use community health centers and other programs in the plan... Why hasn’t this part of the cigarette tax been emphasized? Why have they basically sold the bill on the $28 million for the trauma center and not told us where the $60 million is going or talked abut the comprhensive health care program?

“Family planning” to the liberals (as has been evidenced in their family planning program overseas when a Democrat is in the White House ) is just a euphemism for contraceptives and abortion.
US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, appearing on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday, defended the spending. "The family-planning services reduce cost," she said. So just where is the $60 million ( over and beyond the cost of the trauma center that Beebe plans to raise with the cigarette taxes) going? Wouldn’t it be prudent for legislators to get exact figures as to where this money is going, just as they have the figures for the trauma center?
Beebe and liberal Democrats are aware of Pelosi’s Plan and have surely been in contact with those supporting it in Washington. Now wouldn’t this cigarette tax ploy be a great way for liberals in Arkansas to cash in on matching funds from the federal stimulus package for Medicaid benefits to further the liberals’ agenda of taxpayer funded contraceptives and abortion?
If I and others who believe we have caught on to this scheme are wrong, all Beebe has to do is insert in his bill a simple line saying that no money raised from the cigarette tax can be used for Medicaid matching funds if the purpose of those funds is for "family planning" or contraceptives or abortion. If he doesn’t add this line in the bill, hopefully some legislator on the committee or on the House floor will suggest this amendment to the bill to prevent this taxpayer money from being used for contraceptives and abortion.
