I will be there. It is time we had someone with a bit of fire in District 3. Boozman is such a nice genlteman, but his focus has been on being gentle. The result is that there is NO representation for District 3. There is a desperate need for representatives of firm conviction and willing to be sound off in our defense.
Oops. . . no "e" in Boozman.
I like boozman, but a primary won't hurt anyone. The bailouts stunk,but I did not completely write him off. I think that a primary here will do one of two things, both of which are good. The new guy could win, and send a strong conservative to the hill, or the old guy will win, but with a sense that we are not going to take this all lying down. Either way I am happy.
I wrote Boozman off after I sat down with him in person and questioned him about TARP and the AIG 90% tax votes. He will tell you, to your face, that over 90% of us told him not to do it (TARP) but that he decided to take the advice of representatives and others outside of our state instead of listening to those he represents in District 3. On AIG, he will tell you it was constitutional and then turn right around and tell you Obama's plan to bump up taxes on the wealthy to pay for health care is UNconstitutional. The man lacks leadership and understanding of his job and the document which gives him limited powers. It's past time for him to go.
