Arkansas Fire Chief Shot by Cops in Court over Fines
This is one of the most bizarre stories on local government I have ever heard. The police of tiny Jericho Arkansas apparently ignored regular law enforcement duties in favor of raising money by issuing traffic citations. Now the Judge has quit, the police (all of them) have been put on leave, and, well, just read the crazy thing.

Seriously, your local police and government are beyond funny. You're freakin idiots. You’re a joke. I love how you actually live out the stereotype of Arkansas hicks. Shooting your Fire Chief over traffic tickets? That’s absolutely hilarious! I plan on making a trip to Jericho just to take pictures of your town and post it on some webpage devoted to backwards-assed hicks. 7 officers for a town of 174 residents? Shit, you must be pocketing some serious money while you’re fleecing your local folk for tickets.
You’re the greatest! Thanks for making my evening. Stay classy, Jericho!

Unfortunately Jericho is not, in principle, doing anything different than our federal government. Both Jericho and the Feds are moving away from the idea that government is established to protect the God-given rights of its citizens in favor of a view of government as the biggest baddest gang around whose purpose is to divide up the plunder in an organized fashion.
Both Jericho and the Federal government of the United States (despite their constant quest for OPM) are unable to pay their bills, the latter simply has a printing press that it can use to conceal that fact a little longer.

Well, he doesn't need to be shot dead, but what is a married pastor doing toting around a single female drug dealer with no one else in the car?
Who said she was a drug dealer? It wouldn't matter if she was. It would still be wrong to shoot either of them.
