Lincoln Votes Against Public Option....
....in Senate Committee. Democrat Max Baucus, author of the plan, also voted against the attempt to add a public option to his bill. Sen. Jay Rockefeller gave some crazy talk about how affordable such an option would be.

My concern with this health care reform, as an Independent, is that it’s all over the place, there are not enough specifics and it must be put into writing and as if “written in stone” so that not every illegal that comes to the US will get free healthcare and those that work hard all their citizen life in US pay for every “Tom, Dick and Harry”
I hear that a big push for amnesty is coming soon. They will end-run your concern by simply making every illegal aliens "legal" and thus eligible for taxpayer-subsidized health care. Never mind that we can't afford what we are giving away now.
