The Deficit Enabling Media (Bunning Story)

Big media won't tell the full story. They are tied into too many other companies who are making too much money off the current fiscal insanity. Senator Bunning only wanted the programs to be paid for out of current spending, not additional debt on the next generation. Townhall article calls them on it.

Mark--it will be up to Conservatives tell the "other" narrative that the media chooses not to tell which is that Liberals/Dems are undoubtedly the party of Big, Bad, Bloated Government that only grows larger with a steady stream of unsolveable grievances and victims that will never be made whole, and will stop at nothing short of Utopia. Conservatives must hammer home the point that Liberals/Dems believe the individual citizen is simply too stupid and ignorant to care for or look after themselves and therefore, we — the Liberals/Dems — must come in and "mother" the individual citizen and take care of them.

On Blake Rutherford's Liberal Blog, he said talked about the Bunning situation and about how this 3-day delay in people receiving their benefits has “affected” a whopping 1,000 Arkansans. Out of a population of 2.8 Million Arkansans.

That’s .00035% of the Arkansas population. It begs the questions that Liberals/Dems never ask: why couldn't those 1,000 “affected” Arkansans not have saved some money up while they were working for days when they might be unemployed (in my world, there would be a 3 to 6 month waiting period before unemployment benefits would kick in to force workers to create an Emergency Fund, as Dave Ramsey recommends everyone should have)? Why couldn't those 1,000 “affected” Arkansans not have sought out help from family and friends and neighbors and their faith community or local civic organizations before looking to the government for help and support? Why must everything emanate from Washington, D.C.? Why must our Taxpayer Dollars first be sent to Washington, D.C. just so the Federal Government and its bureacrats, who did nothing to earn our Taxpayer Dollars, can skim off the top of those dollars to "take their cut", stir it up in a big giant pot, and then redistribute it to other states and people who didn’t do a single thing to earn our Taxpayer Dollar?

An utterly ridiculous concept that Liberals/Dems have foisted on this Nation (aided and abetted by pseudo-Republicans/Conservatives). And they think it works!

But, Mark, I know I'm preaching to the choir! Make it a great day!

Mark--here's an "out-of-left-field" question for you: if a Conservative of the likes of you and I jumped into the Dem primary with Lincoln and Halter, and that individual was a competent, credible candidate that worked hard for the next 70 days, could that candidate attract enough support and votes to force a runoff, much less win?

Bunning is a joke He has set on his hands for the last 8 years while w and now Obama have raised the debt ceiling every year. He picks out emergency funding to block just for the theatricals.

Fire Blanche-you are so right! I heard Lincoln and others say that this healthcare buisness was an issue in which Congress can force people to accept the public option because they're "looking out for their constituents." Made me SOO MAD...I think I got taken off of her e-mail list.

Don't get me wrong-healthcare does need reform but the way that they are going about it is all wrong. Just like the environmental stuff is all wrong (please understand-I am in favor of taking care of the planet and all that but I believe that there needs to be a balance and I don't believe that some catastrophe is coming...but who wants to see someone else's garbage while they're fishing for that trophy blue catfish?)

In other words, yep-they think we're stupid.

If you are not a member of the Democratic party already then it is too late for that "outside the box" move.
