Really? Interesting. You still have the freedom to post roughly anything you want on this blog, yes? I'm pretty sure the Internet in Beijing is "slightly" more restrictive.
Ah, yes-- the old "appeal to a lower standard" tactic.
It works so well for Republicans to compare themselves to Democrats, and Democrats to compare themselves to Republicans. And now, we'll compare our country to communist China.
We can always feel good about ourselves and our decisions by finding someone who's behavior is sufficiently worse.
Of course, if your objective is greatness, you have to aspire, not make excuses for yourself. But few Americans understand this concept anymore, having been educated by the government on a healthy diet of ignorance blended with self-esteem.
