Hines Wins Roger's Mayor's Run-Off

Greg Hines won the Roger's Mayoral run-off last night by 62.3% to 37.7%, mostly on the strength of a lop-sided early voting margin. Congratulations to Mayor Elect Hines, the Markham Group, Channel 24 KNWA, and the entire Hines campaign. We look forward to a prosperous six years of non-partisan governance.

Huh? What does "mostly on the strength of a lop-sided early voting margin" mean? You either get the vote out or you don't. You either generate enthusiasm for your candidacy or you don't. Why don't we just say Maddox lost mostly on the weakness of a lop-sided early voting deficit"? Makes about as much sense.

On another subject I FINALLY looked up this Markham Group that was, unfortunately, such a big focus of the Maddox campaign. I see they have worked a number of high profile Republican campaigns. So I guess I'll add that the list of Maddox exaggerations and half-truths?

Hey, that was not a slam on Hines at all. KNWA maybe, but not Hines. All I meant was the mathematical truth that the numbers showed. Hines won the early voting by about 488 to 1320. Almost 1,000 votes. He won the total votes by about 1200-1300 votes. Almost the whole margin was from early voting. That's just mathematical fact, not anything to be touchy about.

The Markham group website underwent some revisions once people started talking about it. They took on a more conservative cast in order to conceal how far left they were. The Obama pic went down, and the Beebe pick went up. You say you FINALLY looked. If you had looked before they sneakily changed it, you would have seen a different site.

Now you say that they have backed a number of high profile Republicans. Maybe Republicans, but not Conservatives. I can't think of one Republican on their list besides Bloomberg, pro-abortion, pro-gun control leftist NY Republican.

Who are some of these "high profile Republicans" that Markham calls clients? I don't see it.

Who cares! They DID work on these other campaigns too and since people LIKE you and Maddox made such a hoot out of it of course they changed it to show the range of their work.

You're arguments are almost silly! You call someone out as left, because of what they chose to highlight on their web site. So they update it to show that they are a business that works with BOTH parties, and then you completely discount the facts that are against your earlier conclusion, and discount them.

Why can't you just see, again, they are "guns for hire" and go the way the wind blows. Like them or not regardless of party, they back and help winners.

Let's move on.

I was moving on, until you came on and mentioned it. Come to think of it, you never did list the so-called conservatives that they represented.

Work both sides of the street? Hardly.

Still waiting for that list of "high profile Republicans" sans Bloomberg. You make an assertion, then provide the evidence. When I ask you to provide the evidence, your response is that I am a jackass and can't be taken seriously. How do you expect to be taken seriously, hiding behind anonymity and responding to requests for evidence by crude name-calling?
